Freshly harvested Manchurian Black Beans grown in Taiwan is used in this fermented beans, or what we locals call "dao see" or "dao jior". The black beans are farmed naturally, small but solid, chunky that do not crumble and disappear after cooking.
Absolutely no preservatives, just salt and sugarcane sugar went into the bottle, so you can taste the beans for what they are. Add a spoonful to steamed fishes, or tofu or just eat on its own if you are feeling cheeky.
