Product Description

The lotus is grown in Baihe in Taiwan, in an area known for hot springs and lotus farming and farmed in a sustainable manner with no chemical pesticides. 
A lot of work goes into extracting the lotus into powder -  the lotus is dug from the ground, washed, crushed before it goes through a cycle of filtering to remove residue and fibres, washing, precipitating. The final step is to sun-dry it for 1-3 days. TCM says its good for the complexion!

How to eat

Sprinkle and stir into a bowl of hot water until it thickens onto Jell-o like texture. Add sugar to taste.

栽種方式 : 友善栽植/無使用農藥的純正蓮藕粉。

製作方式 : 藕粉費工的從田裏挖出蓮藕,削切去頭跟節點,清洗絞碎,濾去纖維與殘渣,不間斷地沖水搓洗出粉,還要經過三四道的沉澱與再清洗,務必要將藕裏的乳汁去淨,藕粉才會白,才好吃;將洗淨沉澱的粉集中到碗裏,靜置陰乾後再將粉刮出曬乾,在廟口埕前曝曬個一至三天,方才完成。十斤的藕方能製得一斤粉,好藕粉得來真不易。

食用方式: 熱水先盛在碗裏,藕粉薄薄地撒,一邊攪拌,粉沉到底也就熟了,再加點糖即可飲用。在地人喜歡保留藕粉的顆粒感,吃來有點像粉圓的Q勁,很有意思。
