Product Description
The Greater Amberjack is a pretty looking fish, with a yellow strip that runs from its mouth to the tail. It's an apex predator however, that consumes squids and other small fishes. Commonly known as yellowtail or Kanpachi in Japan, the Greater Amberjack is popular amongst sashimi lovers because of its beautiful marbled pink flesh and sweet flavours. At home, we can enjoy it either pan-fried or boiled in steamboat or torched!
This Greater Amberjack is wild caught in Hualien by our friends from Fishbar and frozen at site to ensure maximum freshness. Only larger fishes of at least 1m in length are fished. Read about them here.
