[September Special] Airflown Formosa Sweet Dew Pear 寶島甘露梨

This fruit emerged as the result of Farmer Liu's more than three decades of unwavering experimentation. His determined efforts culminated in the successful grafting of this particular pear species. Since 2018, he has secured a patent for the species, granting him exclusive rights to this exceptional pear !  This fruit is disease-resistant, capable of being chilled in storage for weeks and a compact fruit core ( i.e. more edible flesh). 

Utilizing grafts from this species comes at a cost for other farmers, but in return, they gain invaluable access to technical guidance for refining their cultivation techniques. This ultimately leads to improved skills in nurturing this pear variety, as well as heightened earnings from its highly sought-after produce.

For me, the fruit's allure lies in its distinctive sugarcane-like sweetness, finely textured flesh, and the signature fragrance and crispness found in Asian pears. Weighing around 800g each, it presents itself as a luxurious indulgence to be shared among friends and family.
