It was the name that first struck me. The Chinese name (翠妞) when translated literally sounds like Little Miss Jade. An uncommon species developed by Taiwanese farmers in Chiayi, the melon is definitely a conversation starter and something to remember about. It is fragrant, crunchy, sweet, creamy all at the same time. Zero waste, because the rind can be eaten too!
Growing the fruit in a controlled climate requires large amount of capital, precision and skills. We want to celebrate the farmer's hard work. We hope you like this fruit as much as us!
How to enjoy the fruit:
- Store in a cool dry place in ambient temperature
- When it yields slightly when pressed gently, it's time to eat it. Chill just before hand to concentrate the sweetness.
