I remember I first tasted and fell in love with this fruit in 2019 when we drove around fruit farms in Tainan. The fruit had the usual delicate fragrance of pomelos, the flesh was sweet and the pulp juicy. I could not forget the tanginess that lingered after the initial explosive sweetness.
We also like this ruby red fleshed pomelo because the farmer doesn't use chemical weed killers on the pomelo trees and the pomelos have passed tests for 380 pesticide residues.
This year, we opted for the larger, late season red pomelos. By the time you receive the red pomelos, the fruit would have slightly wrinkled skin and better flavours. Hope you like our selection this year!
